Easier to use than other purification systems I have tried. More portable. Self-contained unit. No chemicals to add. Purchasing was simple for our rush shipment.
We used it to purify water while in the Amazon jungle to reconstitute antibiotic suspensions and as a rehydration station at clinics.
Some recommendations: - see through area on side to know the water volume remaining. - a counter / keep track (on the jerrycan itself) of the number of times the can is refilled in order to change the filter appropriately. - way to allow for drying inside walls for very high humidity, wet environment (I'm concerned it will mold, potentially). Provide a cleaning tool? - lots of interest among some of the local clinic staff for home us, but expense for personal use cans is currently far above pricing people in Iquitos can afford. - We used lowest particulate water we could access, but it came having some brown color.
